To provide a brushless motor in which rotation of a rotor can be controlled while the rotation direction of the rotor is accurately detected.SOLUTION: The brushless motor includes three magnetism detection units 70 for detecting magnetism generated from rotor magnets. When viewed from the axial line of a stator 12, a first magnetism detection unit 70A is disposed on a line LA bisecting the opening angle of, among a plurality of slots 36 formed between a plurality of teeth 34, one slot 36 formed between a pair of teeth 34 adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction of the stator 12 and having normal winding portions and reverse winding portions in the same phase. When viewed from the axial line of the stator 12, a second magnetism detection unit 70B and a third magnetism detection unit 70C are disposed within a range R between a first virtual line LB1 passing through the center of the stator 12 and being in contact with one side portion of one tooth 34 among the plurality of teeth 34, and a second virtual line LB2 passing through the center of the stator 12 and being in contact with the other side portion of the one tooth 34.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
