To provide a plastic can container wherein a part or the whole of a can body, a lid and a bottom is formed of an excellent material having heat resistance, high strength, high gas barrier ability against steam and oxygen and ultraviolet absorbing ability together.

The can container has a part or a whole of a can body comprising a liquid crystal polyester resin composition with liquid crystal polyester as a continuous phase and with a copolymer having a functional group reactive with the liquid crystal polyester as a discontinuous phase and a part or a whole of the can body formed of a laminate including a layer comprising the liquid crystal polyester resin composition with liquid crystal polyester as a continuous phase and with a copolymer having a functional group reactive with the liquid crystal polyester as a discontinuous phase and a layer comprising thermoplastic resin (except the liquid crystal polyester and the liquid crystal polyester resin composition). The can is provided by using such can containers.
