Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve distance chaarcteristics and sensitivity by the constitution wherein the area of a shield plate which is provided between a pair of electrode plates can be changed discretely or continuously.
CONSTITUTION: A thickness L and the area S of the electrode plates 1 and 2 of the detector of the electrostatic capacity type displacement gage are made constant. The area of the shielding plate 4 is changed continuously and discretely, and the electrostatic capacity generated between the electrode plates 1 and 2 is controlled. In this way, the distance characteristics and the sensitivity can be improved.
