To effectively prevent a vehicle fire after an accident by enclosing an airtight vessel in a part of a car body by compressively filling incombustible gas or a fire extinguisher in the airtight vessel, and discharging the inside incombustible gas or the fire extinguisher by receiving pressure not less than prescribed pressure to the airtight vessel.
An airtight vessel 1 filled with incombustible gas or a fire extinguisher is housed in the back part of a U-shaped bumper 6 to be fixed to the bumper 6 by a proper fixing metal fitting 10. Exhaust pipes 11, 11 are extended in the airtight vessel 1 enclosed in the bumper 6 so that these exhaust pipes 11 are introduced into an engine room. The burst part 12 weaker than the other is formed by a press in a connecting place of the bumper 6 and the exhaust pipes 11 as one example of a gas injection means 3. A vehicle fire can be reliably prevented by injecting the incombustible gas or the fire extinguisher into the engine room through the exhaust pipes 1 by breaking the burst part 12 being the gas injection means 3 since internal pressure increases after the airtight vessel 1 is deformed when pressure not less than prescribed pressure is applied to the airtight vessel 1 by impact to the bumper 6 at collision time of an automobile.
