To enhance the easiness in getting on or off a car by increasing a car descending speed of a car height adjusting device.
A car height adjusting device is provided with fluid pressure actuators 11i, 11FL, 11FR, 11RL, 11RR, which are interposed between wheels Wi, WFL, WFR, WRL, WRR and a car body so that, when oil is supplied to the actuator, the car height corresponding to the position of the actuator supplied with the oil is increased/decreased, an oil pump 20, which supplies the fluid pressure actuator with the oil accommodated in a reserve tank 16, a drain pipe 40, which discharges the oil from the fluid pressure actuator to the reserve tank 16, and a discharge valve 41, which controls the communication of the drain pipe 40. When the car height is to be decreased, the discharge valve 41 is turned into an open state, while the driving of the pump 20 is stopped, so that the oil is discharged to the reserve tank 16 via the pump 20.
