Abstract:
The carbon brush (20) has a brush body (21) formed from a carbon-containing material. The brush body is provided with a sliding unit (25) on a contact surface (24) facing a contact structure. The sliding unit has an adhesive agent (26) and a distribution of abrasive grains (27). The abrasive grains are arranged on the contact surface by the adhesive agent. The adhesive agent serves as a positioning structure for defining spatial arrangement of the abrasive grain. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a carbon brush.
