PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of resting position of the feed table by a method wherein a driving sprocket, connected to a driving unit such as a motor or the like, is attached to the feed table 6, moved transversally along a guide rail.
CONSTITUTION: The guide rail 3, consisting of a lengthwisely long plate, is attached to the back surface of a base 4 so as to be protruded partially while the upper and lower ends of the guide rail 3 are formed into guide faces parallel mutually. The feed table 1 is mounted onto the guide rail 3 through a plurality of rollers 2 so as to be movable into the transversal direction thereof. The tension sprockets 5a, 2b are supported by bearings at the force and aft ends of the guide rail 3 while a roller chain 6, whose both ends are fixed to the feed table 1, is wound as shown by the diagram. The driving sprocket 7, rotated through a cyclo reduction gear 8 by a D.C. servomotor 8, is attached to the feed table 1 so as to mesh with the chain 6 while a chain support 10 is attached to the guide rail 3 at the opposite side of the sprocket 7 so as to pinch the chain 6.
