Abstract:

PURPOSE: To almost completely separate the anion resin and the cation resin in the cation resin regeneration tower by appropriately arranging the secondary resin discharge tub and the secondary separation header in addition to the primary resin discharge tube.

CONSTITUTION: With respect to the cation resin regeneration tower of a condensate desalter used in an atomic power plant, the primary resin discharge tube 9 is arranged at the part corresponding to the upper-layer region C of the cation resin-anion resin mixture region B in the anion resin regeneration tower 8, the secondary resin discharge tube 12 is arranged at the part almost intermediate to the resin mixture region B, and the secondary separation header 13 is arranged at the part under the resin mixture region B. Consequently, the anion resin and the cation resin in the cation resin regeneration tower are almost completely separated, the life of the ion-exchange resin is increased, and the purification capacity of the primary-system water can be improved.
