Title:
CATV APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005167673
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a CATV apparatus such as CATV tap-off, branch or distributor for branching/distributing a power supply voltage and a high frequency signal by solving the problem that it cannot be confirmed on the spot whether or not a tap-off main body is surely mounted.

The present CATV apparatus composed of a lid comprising a short circuit material capable of short-circuiting an input side terminal and an output side terminal and a main body which can be attached to and detached from the lid and comprises a high frequency path and a power supply path. In the CATV apparatus, an alarm is provided on the lid or the main body of the apparatus so as to be confirmed from the outside thereof and when the main body of the apparatus is detached from the lid and the short circuit member is brought into contact with the input side terminal and the output side terminal, the alarm is operated by a high frequency signal or a power supply voltage flowing through the short circuit material. When the main body of the apparatus is attached to the lid, the short circuit material is separated from the input side terminal and the output side terminal of the lid and the high frequency path and the power supply voltage path of the main body of the apparatus are brought into contact with the input side terminal and the output side terminal of the lid, the alarm is inactivated, thereby confirming that the high frequency path and the power supply voltage path of the main body of the apparatus are brought into contact with the input side terminal and the output side terminal of the lid.
