Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose foam and a manufacturing method thereof in which environmental load is little, production efficiency is good, and various application developments are enabled.SOLUTION: A cellulose foam is manufactured by melting a cellulose ester composition that water is added to a mixture containing a cellulose ester, a heat plasticizer and a foaming nucleating additive, foaming with gasification of the water, gaining a foam of the cellulose ester, and hydrolyzing the foam of the cellulose ester.
