To provide a chipper for cutting an object to be cut such as branches to be pruned by a rotary blade rotated around a shaft.
An upper feed roll part 30 for supplying the object 20 to a cutting position is composed of a large diameter feed roll 31 and a small diameter feed roll 33 arranged between the large diameter feed roll 31 and the cutting position. When the object 20 is supplied to the cutting position, the object 20 is supplied to the cutting position initially (usually) while being pressed from above by the large diameter feed roll 31. Since the diameter of a feed roll for supplying the object 20 to the cutting position is not decreased merely as usual, the object 20 is kept to be caught well by the large diameter feed roll 31. When the object 20 is short so that its rear end part 20C is difficult to be caught by the large diameter feed roll 31, the short rear end part 20C is supplied to the cutting position while being pressed from above by the small diameter roll 33.
