Abstract:

To provide a method for producing effectively an optically active α-aminoketone.

A method for producing an optically active α-aminoketone shown by general formula (2) comprises allowing a new chiral alkoxide originating from glucose, which is shown by formula (3), to act upon a quaternary ammonium salt shown by general formula (1), wherein R1 is a member selected from a methyl group and a cyclohexylidene group, R2 is a member selected from an i-propyl group, an i-butyl group, a benzyl group, a phenyl group, a hexyl group and a cyclohexyl group, R3 is a member selected from a vinyl group and a phenyl group, R4 is a member selected from a methyl group and an allyl group, and X- is a counter ion.
