Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a Cr plated steel sheet for a can having satisfactory seam weldability.
CONSTITUTION: This Cr plated steel sheet excellent in seam weldability is a Cr plated steel sheet having 100-700 Vickers hardness of both side surfaces measured under 1g forced load or a Cr plated steel sheet having the above- mentioned Vickers hardness and having 30-150mg/m2 metallic Cr on the surface of a steel sheet. and 5-30mg/m2 (expressed in terms of Cr) chromium oxide hydrate on the metallic Cr.
