Abstract:
To provide a household appliance including any circuit arrangement for protection against an undue overheating of a charging and/or discharging control and/or a secondary battery.SOLUTION: A circuit arrangement includes: a secondary battery; charging and/or discharging control for charging and/or discharging the secondary battery; a connector for connecting the charging and discharging control to an external power supply; at least one current limiting electronic component arranged in electrical connection to the charging and/or discharging control; and optionally, a switchable load. A household appliance includes the circuit arrangement in which the charging and/or discharging control is a DC-DC converter, the current limiting electronic component is disposed in the connection between the connector for connecting the charging and/or discharging control to the external power supply and the charging and/or discharging control (3), and the current limiting electronic component is a polymeric positive temperature coefficient component.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
