PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a civil engineering block etc. capable of increasing variation of place where photovoltaic power generation is carried out.SOLUTION: A civil engineering block 500 comprises a solar battery sub-module 10. The solar battery sub-module 10 comprises a transparent substrate 1 transmitting sunshine, a solar battery cell 3 converting sunshine transmitted by the transparent substrate 1 into electric power, and a back sheet 5 encompassing the transparent substrate 1 and the solar battery cell 3. The civil engineering block 500 comprising a recessed part 110 on main surface and a concrete block 100 in which the solar battery sub-module 10 is fixed onto the recessed part 110 so that an edge part 102 of the recessed part 110 constructs a frame surrounding a peripheral part of the transparent substrate 1 and the back sheet 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
