To obtain a cloth with raised figure intended for industrial processes and used in manufacturing paper and paper-related products and nonwoven fabrics and the like by introducing cloth into the nipping unit of a calender equipped with rollers each provided with a previously selected raised figure followed by subjecting the cloth to compression treatment.
This cloth with raised figure of endless loop type functioning similarly to a conveyor belt such as a formation cloth, press cloth or dry cloth is obtained by introducing a cloth 10 intended for industrial processes such as a monolayer weave, multilayer weave, cloth with a polymeric base or nonwoven fabric into the nipping unit 36 of a calender 30 furnished with a raised figure medium material provided with a previously selected raised pattern through carving or etching on a two-roller type roller composed of a 1st roller 32 and a 2nd roller 34 or both the rollers, and subsequently subjecting the cloth 10 to compression treatment under heating and pressure to impart it with a raised pattern.
