PURPOSE: To prevent the tips of grips from lifting from the upper surface of a fixed plate when clothes is taken out by a method wherein flexible grips provided at the end of a press sheet are formed to be bent upward by a specified angle to the upper surface of the fixed plate, and are located inside from the outer peripheries of the fixed plate and a flexible plate.
CONSTITUTION: The objective clothes pressing device is equipped with a heater 13 which is covered by a heater cover 12, on the inner surface side of a fixed plate 11 made of a plywood. At one end of the fixed plate 11, a movable plate 14 is pivotally supported by hinges 15, and the fixed plate 11 and movable plate 14 are locked under a put-together-condition to hold clothes under a pinched state by locking devices 16 which are provided on the other end. Also, at the connected side of the fixed plate 11 and movable plate 14, one end of a transparent or semi-transparent press sheet 17 made of a resin sheet is fixed, and grips 18 made of rubber, etc., are formed to be projected from the other end side. The tips of the grips 18 are formed to be bent upward by an angle (α) to the upper surface of the fixed plate 11, and the grips 18 are positioned inside from the outer periphery of the fixed plate 11.
