To achieve a clothes treatment apparatus capable of opening a door body with a prescribed force or less from inside of a housing tub when the door body of the housing tub is closed.
A slide contact part 41, where a claw part 40 of a latch 2 is engaged with an engaging part 45 of a door switch device 4 and comes into slide contact, is configured in such a manner that it makes an obtuse angle with respect to the direction of an external force P1 acting first on the engaging part 45 when the door body 1 is made to be opened while the claw part 40 is being engaged with the engaging part 45, and is configured by continuous faces (41a and 41b) with different obtuse angles. Thereby, when a force is applied from inside of the housing tub, the latch 2 rotates when receiving a reaction force from the engaging part 45, so that the door body 1 of the housing tub can be opened. Also, by increasing the force before the latch 2 starts rotating to near a prescribed value in the first plane 41a, the door body 1 is prevented from opening easily by the reaction force of the clothes inside the housing tub, and the force to open the door body 1 from inside can be set by enabling the door body 1 to be opened easily after the second plane 41b.
