PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clothing treatment apparatus including a lock mechanism.SOLUTION: The clothing treatment apparatus includes a housing and a lid body. The lid body includes: a lock arm for locking in a closing position; a grip part to be used for rotating the door body; and a support part for supporting the grip part to be freely rotated. On the housing, a lock hole for locking the lid body in the closing position is formed. The lock arm includes a base end part to be pressed by a rotation of the grip part and a tip part to be inserted in and engaged with the lock hole when the lid part is in the closing position. The base end part of the lock arm is pressed by a rotation of the grip part when the lid body is rotated from the closing position to the opening position, and the tip part of the lock arm is rotated from an engagement position in which the tip part is engaged with the lock hole to the releasing position in which the engagement with the lock hole is released. The tip part of the lock arm is escaped from the lock hole by that the lid body is rotated from the closing position to the opening position.
