To provide a small-sized component excellent in space factor and in adhesiveness to a mounting surface, by sandwichingly fixing a flat coil made up by winding an insulated wire, with its winding shape held, between an insulating film and an adhesive double coated tape.
A flat coil 5 is formed by concentrically winding a rectangular fluororesin-insulated wire 2 by using a coil former. One surface of the flat coil 5 is fixed on one surface of an adhesive double coated film 6 cleared of separate paper while an insulating film 7 or polyester film with an adhesive layer is bonded to the flat coil 5 and to the adhesive double coated film 6, thus a coil 1 for electromagnetic heating is obtained with its winding shape held. The coil 1 for electromagnetic heating thus obtained is capable of rigidly holding the winding shape without any frame, has an improved space factor because of its small size, and is excellent in handling property and low in cost. The coil 1 for electromagnetic heating obtained is excellent not only in insulation properties in a high-temperature/high-humidity atmosphere but in handling property because of its simple structure, and greatly contributes to size reduction and cost reduction of rice cookers and the like.
