Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a cold rolled Al killed steel sheet having superior degaussing characteristics by adding specified percentages of C, Mn, S, sol. Al and N to Fe and specifying the ratio of Al to N.
CONSTITUTION: A cold rolled Al killed steel sheet consisting of, by weight, ≤0.005% C, 0.10W0.50% Mn, ≤0.010% S, 0.02W0.08% sol. Al, ≤0.0050% N [sol. Al%-0.003)/N%≤N%≤6] and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is manufactured. The steel sheet has superior damagnetizing characteristics, and a shadow mask and a color television using the steel have improved landing characteristics.
