A collision reduction ECU 46 provides a danger prediction determination unit 48, and a compulsive steering unit 50. The danger prediction determination unit 48 determines whether collision of other vehicles with own vehicle is a danger prediction state in which such situations are anticipated that the own vehicle advances into the opposite lane, a toward lane or a walkway which adjoins the own-lane from the own-lane in which the own vehicle is located contrary to the intent of the driver. A compulsive steering unit 50 compulsorily changes the direction of steering wheels of own vehicle to the direction which is parallel to the extending direction of own-lane when determining a danger prediction state by the danger prediction determination unit 48.
