Abstract:

To provide a color filter which has excellent spectroscopic characteristics and can impart high brightness and high chroma to an LCD at the same time.

The color filter has at least one red color filter segment, at least one blue color filter segment and at least one green color filter segment. A ratio (A570/A595) of absorbency (A570) to light with a wavelength of 570 nm and absorbency (A595) with a wavelength of 595 nm of at least one red color filter segment is 20 or more.
