Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily obtain a color image which has sufficient image density and is excellent in color reproducibility by electrifying toner so that it is scattered on a substrate, exposing the toner so that electrified charges are selectively removed and impressing an AC voltage between the substrate and an opposed electrode so that the image can be formed after transfer. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive toner is electrified in negative charge by friction with carrier, etc., in a toner scattering unit 20 so as to form a magnetic brush on a magnet roller 26. By impressing -500V on the magnet roll 26, the toner is applied on a conductor 21. Next, the image of an original is exposed by an exposing means 22 on a toner layer. By impressing the AC voltage of 1kV and frequency 1kHz between the opposed electrode 23 and the conductor 21, a transfer charger impresses positive charges from the back surface of a transfer sheet to transfer the electrified toner. Thereafter the transfer sheet passes a heat roll and is fixed. Thus, the color image which has the sufficient image density and is excellent in the color reproducibility can be easily obtained.
