Abstract:
To provide a chromatically sequential color display device provided with a sealed color wheel unit, a lamp, a projection lens, and a spatial light modulation element and capable of cooling the entire color wheel unit by liquid for using the unit.
A color wheel case mainly, constituted of a color wheel case cover 1 and a color wheel case body 2, stores a color wheel and a motor in its inside. A light incident aperture part 4 is formed on the cover 1, a light projection apparatus part is formed on the body 2 and light is made incident/ projected on/from the aperture parts. Discharging fine 3 to be plural rugged projections are formed on the cover 1, so that high heat discharging effects can be realized and temperature rise can be suppressed.
