To make it possible to color a thermoplastic polyester resin effectively, perfectly, and uniformly by combining a poly(oxyalkylenized) colorant with a specified diluent.
A composition is prepared by mixing 15-85 wt.%, desirably, 25-75 wt.% diluent selected from among a sorbitan (8-22C) monoester, an ethoxylated sorbitan (8-22C) monoester, ethoxylated nonylphenol ether, ethoxylated dodecylphenol ether, and a mixture of two arbitrary members of them with 15-85 wt.% poly(oxyalkylenized) colorant represented by the formula: R{A-[(oxyalkylene component)n]m}x. In the formula, R is an organic chromophore; A is a bonding group for the chromophore, selected from among N, O, S, and CO2; the oxyalkylene component contains 2-4 carbon atoms; n is 2-100; m is 1 when A is O, S, or CO2, and is 2 when A is N; and x is 1-5.
