Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an existing stove not using any oxidation catalyst to use oxidation catalyst without hindering combustion at the time of starting combustion.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a combustion-promoting chimney in which a steel plate is formed into a cylindrical shape and connected to the exhaust port side of a stove to constitute a part of the chimney, its inner circumferential side is provided with a catalyst arrangement part housing a column-like oxidation catalyst 20 having a vertical through-hole for performing a secondary combustion of not-yet combusted gas under a state in which its central line is coincided with a central line of the chimney cylinder. At the catalyst arrangement part, a clearance having a prescribed width is formed between an outer circumferential surface of the oxidation catalyst 20 and the inner circumferential surface of a chimney 10. At the starting time of combustion at the stove, air containing exhaust gas below the oxidation catalyst 20 passes through the clearance, exhibits a draft action while ascending in a chimney flue to promote the combustion at the stove.
