Abstract:
To provide a communication processing method and apparatus in the case of tight interworking between long-term evolution (LTE) and 5G.SOLUTION: A method comprises: after it is determined that an LTE base station side terminal is covered by a 5G network, requesting measurement configurations of the 5G network to a node of the 5G network; and after the measurement configurations are received, forwarding the measurement configuration to the terminal. The terminal receives the measurement configurations which are forwarded by the LTE base station and transmitted by the node of the 5G network to perform signal processing in the 5G network according to the measurement configurations. The node of the 5G network receives a 5G network measurement configuration request from the LTE base station, and transmits the measurement configurations to the LTE base station to perform signal processing according to the measurement configurations.EFFECT: Since related signaling overheads can be reduced by narrowing down a target in the 5G measurement, it can be determined whether a 5G secondary base station and a 5G carrier are to be added at a network side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
