Abstract:
PURPOSE: To implement communication with a high throughput and to realize a multiple address/multi-cast function by providing a network controller controlling centralizingly allocation of a time slot to plural nodes so as to use the network using wavelength division multiplex and time division multiplex in common.
CONSTITUTION: A general node 2 making communication and a network controller 3 are connected are connected to a wavelength multiplex network 1. When a node 2 sends data to other node 2, the network controller 3 decides which of plural time slots being time divisions of optical transmission channel of a wavelength used by the wavelength multiplex network 1 by the central control. Thus, disable transmission of other node 2 due to a specific node 2 sending lots of data is prevented by properly setting a time slot allocation rule programmed in the network controller 3.
