Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commutator capable of suppressing deformation of a member to be used as a conductive part while suppressing occurrence of burrs, and a manufacturing method of the commutator.SOLUTION: A commutator 10 comprises: an insulative commutator body 22 which is externally fitted and fixed to a rotary shaft; a conductive part 11 which is disposed so as to cover a sliding surface of the commutator body 22 and has conductivity; and a riser 13 which is provided in one end of the conductive part 11 for connecting a coil. In the conductive part 11, a plurality of cut grooves 15 are formed, thereby forming a plurality of segments 12 which are arranged side by side in a circumferential direction while being spaced apart from each other. In the commutator body 22, a cover part 24 is formed for covering locations corresponding to the cut grooves 15 in the other end of the conductive part 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
