PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact iron for a wig and iron receiving board which can smooth slack and wrinkles by locally heating a wig base and enables the wig base to be very easily repaired without damaging the wig base and hairs.SOLUTION: An iron 1 for a wig which is used to smooth the wrinkles of a wig base includes: a body 20 including a heater 25 and a temperature control part 24 which are incorporated therein; a base 30 heated by the heater 25; and a holding part 10 to be held by a user. The surface of the base 30 has a contour in a plan view defined by a curve and forms a convex spherical surface where a curvature in an X axis direction and a curvature in a Y axis direction orthogonal to the X axis direction are the same or a convex non-spherical surface where the curvature in the X axis direction and the curvature in the Y axis direction are different. The surface of the base 30 has a plane area equal to or less than about 1/2 of that of the wig base.
