Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately measure the dynamic characteristics such as a flow quantity of a fluid by detecting pressure variation due to a vortex generated through a vortex generating means to measure the pressure, temperature and pressure fluctuation of fluid simultaneously in a flow pipe at one point.
CONSTITUTION: A sensor 14 of a flow quantity measuring device joined with a fluid flow leading pipe receives pressure variation, due to a vortex generated by a vortex generating bar 16 through a diaphragm provided beside a housing. A sensor composed of piezoelectric resistances connected in a Wheatstone bridge is provided in a housing, and the pressure, temperature and pressure variation are transmitted from the diaphragm to the sensor through the fluid filled up in the housing. This composition can offer a compatible vortex sensor which can measure the pressure, temperature and pressure variation of the fluid at the same point in the measured fluid.
