To improve moisture resistance performance under highly humid preservation and use environments by applying water soluble or emulsion-type coating agent to an outermost layer of a composite container comprising an outer vessel assembled by a laminate sheet having at least a paper layer and an inner vessel made of plastic.
A laminate sheet 4 has a paper layer 41 made of paper or mainly comprising paper, and a coating layer 42 is provided as an outermost layer on the paper layer 41. Water soluble or emulsion-type coating agent is preferable to form the coating layer 42, wherein the coating agent is preferably moisture resistant resin, which mainly contains acrylic resin, styrene-acrylic copolymer resin or vinylidene chloride resin. As plastic constituting a plastic layer 43 inside the paper layer 41 of the laminate sheet 41, polyolefin, for example polyethylene, polypropylene or the like, or a mixture thereof may be used.
