Abstract:

To improve heat-insulating effect of a heat-insulating panel of dryer hood for papermaking machines and make the strength large.

This heat-insulating panel 11 for papermaking machines installs a heat-insulating material 12 having low stiffness, e.g. glass wool and a frame- constituting member 15 which plays a role of framework strength member of the panel in the upper part of a surface layer plate 14 made of aluminum installed on the inside of hood. An auxiliary heat-insulating plate 21 composed of calcium silicate of a heat-insulating material having high stiffness is installed in the upper part of the heat-insulating material 12 and the frame-constituting member 15 and a surface layer plate 13 made of aluminum provided on the outside of hood is installed in the upper part. Namely, the auxiliary heat- insulating plate 21 is installed between the frame-constituting member 15 and the heat-insulating material and the surface layer plate 13.
