PURPOSE: To obtain a composition containing specific block or graft copolymer and polyethylene oxide at a specific ratio, capable of readily and freely controlling pore size and having extremely excellent water retention force.
CONSTITUTION: The composition composed of (A) block or graft copolymer consisting of (i) hydrophilic polymer part containing one or more kind of monomers consisting of hydrophilic and radical polymerizable monomer having either one ring of 2-pyrrolidone ring, pyridine ring, morpholine ring, pyrrolidine ring, piperidine ring, azirine ring and azetidine ring on side chain as units and (ii) hydrophobic polymer part containing one or more kind of radical polymerizable monomers as units, (B) block copolymer consisting of polyethylene oxide and polypropylene oxide and (C) polyethylene oxide and being (99/1) to (50/50) in weight ratio of the component A to total amount of these components B+C.
