To provide a composition inhibiting the proliferation of cancer cells, especially breast cancer, hepatic cancer, lung cancer or stomach cancer cells, thus useful for treating and diagnosing tumors.
A pharmaceutical is provided, containing a curatively effective amount of an antibody(especially, monoclonal antibody, antibody fragments, chimeric antibody, humanized antibody) that expresses effects through bonding to a polypeptide which comprises a specific amino acid sequence or an amino acid sequence where one or several amino acids are substituted, deleted or added in the above amino acid sequence and is excessively expressed in breast cancer, hepatic cancer, lung cancer or stomach cancer cells. Another version of this pharmaceutical is such that the above antibody is conjugated with a cytotoxic agent(e.g. maytansinoid, calicheamicin). A kit including an immunohistochemically analytical means that diagnoses the presence of tumor using the above antibody is also provided.
