This is a compound material having an outer layers (1, 1') composed of nonwoven fabric and parallel stripes (2) composed of elastic films laminated between these outer layers (1, 1'), concerning particularly a compound material for the purpose of manufacturing a soft hook-and-loop fastener for diapers. The outer layers (1, 1') are directly combined with each other in a region between the elastic film stripes (2), forming the nonelastic regions of the compound material, while the regions each containing film stripes (2) of the compound material form the elastic regions. In this invention, at least one of the outer layers (1, 1') composed of light transmitting nonwoven fabric is color printed or pattern printed, wherein the printing (3) extends over the elastic regions and the nonelastic regions.
