Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a compressed air booster which can remarkably reduce energy loss by enabling usage of air which is used in a compression driving during foreward moving of a cylinder in the compression driving again during backward moving of the cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: An energy recovering cylinder 3 is provided which has a piston 5 directly connected to a piston rod 6 of boosting cylinders 2a, 2b. Air for exhaust in operation chambers 10a, 10b at the former boosting cylinder is charged in driving chambers 11a, 11b on the side of supplying driving force to a compression direction of the recovering cylinder 3. Air in compression chambers 9a, 9b of the boosting cylinder is thus compressed.
