Abstract:
PURPOSE: To respectively reduce the thickness change and lateral shift of a compressive blanket for printing at the time of the fitting of the blanket to a printing press by bonding the intermediate layer and hight strength layer of a support at the terminal parts thereof and providing a compressive layer between the both layers.
CONSTITUTION: A compressive blanket for printing has a function of receiving an ink image from a plate to transfer the same to a material to be printed. In this case, at least one support 5 having an intermediate layer 2 and a high strength layer 4 is arranged under a surface ink giving and receiving layer 1. The intermediate layer 2 and the high strength layer 4 are bonded at the terminal parts thereof, for example, by heat sealing and a compressive layer 3 is provided between both layers, 2, 4. The intermediate layer 2 and the high strength layer 4 are formed from high strength plastic or high strength fiber. Adhesive layers 6 are arranged between the respective layers 1, 2, 3, 4. By this constitution, the thickness change and lateral shift of the compressive blanket for printing at the time of the fitting of the blanket to a printing press are respectively reduced.
