Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce production cost, to achieve stable start of a compressor and to enable a high-speed operation.SOLUTION: A compressor driving device for a clothes dryer which drives a compressor configuring a heat pump provided at a clothes dryer having a heat pump type drying function includes: a single-phase induction motor; an inverter circuit; and a drive control circuit. The single-phase induction motor is a driving source of the compressor, and includes a main winding and an auxiliary winding. The inverter circuit, which converts a DC voltage into an AC voltage of a plurality of phases and outputs it, drives the single-phase induction motor by supplying the output of the plurality of phases to each terminal of the main winding and the auxiliary winding. The drive control circuit performs variable speed control of the driving of the motor by controlling the operation of the inverter circuit. Also, the drive control circuit switches a wave pattern of the output of the plurality of phases of the inverter circuit according to rotational speed of the motor.
