PURPOSE: To improve the corrosion resistance and sliding by providing a zinc- aluminum alloy plated layer on the surface of a conduit tube in a control cable.
CONSTITUTION: A conduit tube 1 is formed by rolling (or rolling after expanding) a zinc-aluminum alloy plated bus bar and wiring it to make an outer spring and applying synthetic resin outer coat to its surface. Rolling after plating makes the surface smooth, thus especially sliding being improved. Moreover, the conduit tube 1 is formed by putting a steel wire in the plating solution containing aluminum of 1-10% weight percentage and zinc of the rest weight to obtain a plated steel wire, rolling it into a given sectional shape and winding the rolled steel wire. The zinc-aluminum alloy plated layer, containing the eutectic structure of aluminum and zinc, is superior in corrosion resistance and sliding. In addition to it, aluminum gives superior corrosion resistance and sliding to a plating film.
