PURPOSE: To obtain soft conjugate interlaced yarn, having bulginess, excellent in repulsiveness and suitable for providing fabric capable of being densified by heat treatment after forming into the fabric without requiring special densification in knitting or weaving.
CONSTITUTION: The subject yarn is conjugate interlaced yarn composed of high shrinkable yarn (A) and low shrinkable yarn (B). The yarn (A) is constructed from conjugate yarn containing a saponified ethylene.vinyl acetate copolymer as a core component and a polyamide as a sheath component at (7/3)-(3/7) weight ratio of the core to the sheath. The shrinkage factor in boiling water of the yarn (A) is ≥15% and its maximum thermal shrinkage stress value is ≥0.3g/d. The difference in shrinkage factor in boiling water between the yarns (A) and (B) is ≥5%.
