To provide a connector for a flexible board, capable of connecting a circuit board to a flexible board positioned on either of the front face side or the rear face side of the circuit board and being thinned.
A casing 2 is disposed in a through hole 41 of the circuit board 40 and an external contact portion 3b of a contact 3, projecting from a part near an upper end of the casing 2, is connected to a connection terminal 43 on the surface of the circuit board. One end of the flexible board 30 is inserted into an insertion inlet 9 from an upper opening 6 or a lower opening 7 of the casing 2, a pressing piece 8 is slid toward the external contact portion 3b, and an internal contact portion 3a of the contact 3 and the end of the flexible board are fixed, by pinching them between a pushing-up block 10 and the press piece 8. The flexible board 30 positioned on either of the front face side or the rear face side of the circuit board 40 can be connected to the circuit board 40.
