To provide a connector capable of surely preventing the contact pin of the connector from being undesirably deformed even when a counter connector is incorrectly inserted and obliquely inserted.
This contact 1 has a connector terminal part 11 equipped with a flat support member 2 and a plurality of contact pins 4 housed in a plurality of grooves 3 formed in the support member 2, and a contact preventing means provided at the tip of the contact terminal part 11 to prevent the tip of a counter contact pin from making contact with the tip 4a of the contact pin 4 when it is connected to the counter connector. This contact preventing means is composed of the groove 3 formed so that its depth becomes deep on the tip side of the support member 2, and the contact pin 4 the tip part 41 of which is bent along the groove 3.
