To provide a right angle type connector which can be assembled more simply.

The connector includes a first contact, a housing, and an alignment member separate from the housing. The first contact has a contact part and a terminal part. The contact part extends in a first direction and is held by the housing. The terminal part is held by the alignment member while being folded to extend in a second direction crossing the first direction. The housing and the alignment member are provided, respectively, with an engaged part and an engaging part. The engaging part and the engaged part are engaging in a direction crossing the second direction by a restoring force of the folded terminal part. The alignment member is held on the housing, by engagement of the engaging part and the engaged part.
