Title:
CONNECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1126085
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To push back a detection member, in the case the detection member is engaged at a proceeding position.

A detection member 17 is installed in the upper face of a lock piece 9 in a manner such that the member is slidable in the back and forth directions. A pair of arms 38 extending forward are installed on both ends of the lower face of the detection member 17 in the width direction. While standing upright, a pair of plate-like ribs 41 are installed on the upper face of the counterpart male housing M, corresponding to the both arms 38. Before both housings M, F are fitted, in the case the detection member 17 is engaged at a proceeding position, the front faces of the ribs 41 are butted against head part 39 of the arms 38 and push the heads in the middle of a fitting process so that the detection member 17 is pushed back. When both housings M, F are further fitted and the tip end of the lock piece 9 is mounted on an engaging part 15 and slantingly moved, and the detection member 17 is slantingly moved, following the movement, so that the head parts 39 of the arms 38 run onto on the upper faces of the ribs 41. As a result, the detection member 17 can be moved forward again.
