Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide construction machinery capable of obtaining an energy-saving effect.SOLUTION: It is determined whether or not regenerative electric power regenerated by a slewing motor 4 is equal to or exceeds the maximum allowable amount of charge that is the maximum amount of electric power capable of being charged into an electric storage device 5. When it is determined that the regenerative electric power is equal to or exceeds the maximum allowable amount of charge, a generator motor 3 assists an engine 2 so that electric power as high as or higher than surplus power, which is obtained by subtracting the maximum allowable amount of charge from the regenerative electric power, can be consumed by the generator motor 3.
