To provide a contact for a coaxial cable with which a terminal processing step of a coaxial cable can be shortened.

A first contact 10, attached to a terminal of a coaxial cable 9, comprises a contact portion 1 and a connection portion 2. The connection portion 2 is extended from a base end of the contact portion 1 and connected to the terminal of the coaxial cable 9. The connection portion 2 has a conductor barrel 21, an open crimp barrel 22, and a narrow connecting band 23. The conductor barrel 21 is disposed on the base end side and can crimp an internal conductor 9a. The open crimp barrel 22 is positioned adjacent to the conductor barrel 21 and can crimp a dielectric 9b so as to cylindrically surround the dielectric 9b. The connecting band 23 is coupled to bridge the conductor barrel 21 and the open crimp barrel 22. When or after the conductor barrel 21 and the open crimp barrel 22 are crimped, the both ends of the connecting band 23 are cut off.
