To provide a container for food in a cup, which contains therein precooked food such as precooked Chinese noodles, or snack cakes in a cup, wherein a cover (1) of the container can be peeled off from a container main body (3) to a fully opened degree and placed on the main body to an almost sealed degree at the time of covering the container again, and wherein the cover is easily separated from the main body.

According to the structure of the container, a ring (2) is arranged between the container main body (3) and the cover (1). To connect the container main body (3) and the ring (2) to each other, a thermal bonding method is employed similarly to conventional connection between a container and a cover for precooked food and snack cakes in a cap. As to connection between the ring (2) and the cover (1), a contact portion (6) of the cover is formed of an adhesive seal.
