To secure the communication quality of content distribution traffic in a content distribution network applied with a distributed cache system.
In response to a content request received from a subscriber terminal, the distributed cache system includes a means for notifying a network management unit in the content distribution network whether the content is obtained from a distribution source content server or from a cache server in the distributed cache system. Based on the notification from the distributed cache system, the network management unit dynamically sets a packet communication unit in the network so as to secure packet communication quality transmitted and received between the transfer source of the content and the cache server.
